Met Misty!

Misty is a 6 month old female – a medium-hair length, gray and white Tabby – her date of birth estimated to be Oct 2025. The white markings that orbit her celery-colored eyes highlight a gaze that says, “I’ve graduated”. With a white fluffy coat, extending from her chin to the under surface of a voluminous tail, she is dressed for success and ready for her new forever home.

For a little history – her first few weeks of life started outside. The initial plan was to return Misty to the place she was found, but to an experienced foster mom, this little girl had potential. Though Misty was still a kitten, she would need an orientation for a life with her human companions. The stage was set, and Misty, with the help of her foster family, began that indoctrination.

Her foster mom implemented a process for teaching Misty to trust, but soon found the male kitties in the foster home were taking an interest. Working as a team, they have helped Misty to follow their lead: to understand the joy in playtime, sunbathing, and communicating a cat’s needs. Their influence didn’t stop there – the three male cats act as personal assistants, who offer meticulous grooming sessions designed to help Misty look and feel her best. Her foster mom has documented her progress in their home – just ask to see the videos, where you will witness that transformation. Misty’s expression of absolute nirvana during her beauty treatments is something to behold.

For the last three months, her foster mom has worked with Misty to show her the benefits of living in a loving home. With the same patient guidance, she will acclimate to her new surroundings. A heightened motivation for meal times and snacks makes her an eager partner for learning.

A quiet home might suit her best, but it is the attention of male cats she craves. They seem to bring out her ability to relax and feel pampered. With the right family, Misty will be that beautiful kitty that reminds us that working as a team can amass great rewards. She is ready to begin a new chapter, one filled with trust, love, and something we all want most – a sense of belonging.
