Making Toys for Cats & Dogs
This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity for small groups interested in an arts and crafts session benefiting the animals of PAWS of Coronado. At the end of the session, the group will have made toys for dogs and/or cats that will be used in adoption bags that go home with adopting families and for animals while they stay at the ACF.
Who can participate?
The ideal number of participants for a group is between 4 and 8 people.
We recommend that participants have a minimum age of 8 years old and each group should be accompanied by at least one person over the age of 18. A PAWS of Coronado volunteer will be present and will provide instruction, and a demonstration of how to make the toys.
Where and when does it take place?
Toy-making sessions take place at the PAWS Administrative Office and last approximately 1 hour between the hours of 9 am and 1:30 pm, M-F. Sessions must be arranged in advance.
What about supplies?
All supplies will be provided. To cover the cost of supplies, a $20 donation per group to PAWS of Coronado is suggested.
Will we see any animals?
There are no animals located at the PAWS office. Depending on the time and date, a tour of the animal shelter can be scheduled following the toy making project. Please let us know if this is of interest to your group.
