PAWS makes every effort to find permanent homes for all of the animals that come to the Coronado Animal Care Facility. On occasion, animals come to us that require a special level of attention. This may be due to recovery from an illness or surgery. It can also include newborns that have been separated from their mother, who require bottle-feeding and an intensive level of care to increase their chances of survival to adulthood. When these situations arise, we find that these animals are more likely to thrive in a home with a dedicated, experienced caregiver, who can provide round the clock attention for a temporary period. This can last several weeks.
If you have experience caring for sick or newborn animals, and feel that you have the time and willingness to do so again, please let us know about your interest. Individuals like you are very unique indeed and we never know when an animal in special need will arrive at our doorstep!
If you wish to express interest in fostering a future pet in need, please contact us.
Current Dog Foster Opportunity:
June & Cash, a Bonded Pair for Temporary Foster:
June and Cash came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility when they were found together wandering on Isabella Avenue. These two canines seem very attached to one another and likely share a past. They are gentle, sweet and very interested in their human companions. While June is more outgoing and does not hesitate to say hello, Cash needs a little extra time to work up the courage. As a bonded pair, they seem to know each otherʼs needs. If you are a dog savvy adult(s) who knows you can help these sweethearts feel like part of the family, and you have enough love and laps for two canine friends, this little duo will reward you many times over with their time and attention. Come meet Cash and June today at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, they deserve a loving foster home!
