A New Mother Knows the Meaning of Love!
Nora came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility (CACF) as a stray. She and another young female cat were found in a box. Nora was very pregnant when discovered, so a foster family took her in immediately. In two weeks time, she gave birth to six of the most beautiful kittens. They had the luxury of having their mom to nurse them and teach the lessons only a feline mom can provide.
This young mother proved to be responsible and loving to all of her offspring. Nora continues to show her motherly love while at the CACF, standing guard to make sure all is well for her babies. She is calm, loving and seemed perfectly comfortable in her foster home, complete with an elder dog. Nora may do very well with a respectful canine in her forever home. Once the kittens are adopted, she may be more willing to share space with another feline. Noraʼs story only touches the surface of a motherʼs love. Just in time for Motherʼs Day, maybe her story can help us to celebrate our mothers on this very special occasion. To have Nora in her forever home by then would add to the reminder that “Mothers Know the Meaning of Love.”
Noraʼs Stats: Female, 1 year old, DSH, black/grey/tan with white Tabby, spayed, microchip implant, tested negative for FELV & FIV, dewormed, flea preventative applied, adoption fee $50

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten, you must first come meet him/her. If it seems like a good match, the next step is to complete a cat adoption application. You may complete the cat adoption application at the facility or online. A PAWS of Coronado cat adoption counselor will contact you within 24-48 hours to discuss your application.
