Magical Merlin will cast a love spell on you!
For such a young kitty, Merlin has had a bit of a bumpy ride. He was originally brought to the Coronado Animal Care Facility as a stray kitten. When he went in to be neutered, one of the staff at the vet’s office fell in love with him and adopted him. At first things seemed to be going well between Merlin and the resident dogs – but six months later his adopter relinquished him saying he was not getting along with his canine brothers.
Merlin does act as if he was a bit neglected in his former home and worked to stay out of the dogs’ way. He does tend to stay in his cubby, but from the very beginning Merlin has accepted and loved pets from his human friends. He rubs your hand, purrs and lifts his butt in joy when you pet him. He has an incredible stare that he uses to hypnotize you into loving him and giving him more pets.
Merlin is gaining more confidence every day and quietly seeks attention and love from his human visitors. And did we mention that he gives kisses? Lots and lots of kisses to let you know he appreciates the attention and pets and to let you know how happy he is. He is such a gentle and sweet boy!
Are you looking for a magical feline to fall in love with? If you are, you must come in and meet Merlin – he will cast his spell on you!
You can meet Merlin at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 11:30 am and 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in adopting Merlin you must first come in and meet him. If it seems like a good match, the next step is to complete a cat adoption application. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or cat adoption applications may be completed online. A PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor will contact you within 24-48 hours to discuss your application.
You can read about the adoption process on the Adoption Information page.
