Hi, my name is Dixie and I am super excited to meet you, so excited, in fact, I might even jump for joy! I am a very athletic and energetic two-year old of unknown pedigree with a temperament of a puppy. My manners might be lacking, but I make up for it with my enthusiasm. Everyday I perch up on the windowsill in my kennel, which is actually quite an impressive feat in itself, to watch what’s going on outside.
Care for a game of catch? – I love chasing a ball, I am very fast, and I bring it back, but I don’t like to give it up. In fact, I love to play tug-of-war as well. I would do best with my own yard where I could play ball with you.
I really get excited when going outside. You may hear me say “Hip-hip-hooray!” all the way down the street, as I announce my entrance into the world to all the dogs within earshot. I, actually, like to “talk” quite a lot outside when I see other dogs, and when I feel lonely in the kennel. But I could learn to behave better if only someone would teach me. I would benefit from obedience training and 1-2 hours of daily exercise.
I really like people, but I could be too much around little kids. I also don’t know how to play nice with dogs and cats, I’m sorry. Ideally, I would love a place with a yard where I could run or play ball every day, with a family that would get me, love me, and have patience to teach me things that I need to learn to be a better dog.
